on faith...

For those of us with endless questions on faith, Hebrews 11-12 is definitely a source of comfort. And surely, we are surrounded by a huge cloud of witnesses, all of them glorifying God by their life song. We can look to them and be encouraged but what about ourselves? Are we to be simply encouraged by their faith and their intimacy with God and just leave it at that...even when we have personally experienced His grace and mercy in those seemingly insignificant things in our lives? To look back and say, yes God was with me in those times, He was carrying me through it all...but can we say with true conviction that we place our full trust and surrender into His hands for our lives now and in the future?

If we are struggling in our walk, let us be reminded that we are already His, we have the blessed assurance that Christ is living in us, and we have been marked in Him with the seal of the Holy Spirit. Let us be walking in the Spirit as Bily mentioned in his insight article =)

It's so much easier talking about faith though. For me, there are so many things I just can't grasp, but I realized that in my spiritual walk, He has gradually been revealing more and more to me. Just like in school, we might not have thought that the concept of DNA transcription in high school was just a thing to be memorized because it didn't make too much sense...but that might have been because of the gaps in our knowledge. We weren't mature enough to learn those things but it will be one day, some day in His time.

For now, let us engage life (as PT mentioned =) )
to be amazed by Him
to seek to know Him more and more
to be singing, worshiping, praising Him in all circumstances...

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the LORD.

"As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

~Isaiah 55:8-9

33Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
34"Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?"
35"Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay him?"
36For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.

~Romans 11:33-36
