The riches of His kindness, which leads us toward repentance, overwhelmed me once again today... a brother was quoting that in his prayer before the potluck at Westcourt last night and I started thinking about what that meant, because I thought I knew that passage after reading it several times by this time.

and truly, it is His unfailing love that we come to realize all the more in our weaknesses, and praise God that in all things, He works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).
Praise God that we, who are sinners... broken people, are shown such rich mercy and kindness, such great love and saving grace, of which we do not even deserve one bit.
Praise God that we could be used for His glory.
Praise God that we can trust in nothing less than who He is and what He has done for us.
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

I'm guessing, you probably didn't mean that we deserve to be shown mercy and grace. =P
But yes, it is a great mystery, why God chooses to act as he does. He's given us some reasons, but the secret things we cannot know. =)
