I was thinking about the song "What else can I do" by Steve Fee:
Your love for me is a healing comfort for me
Your grace to me is a matchless gift to me
Your power in me is a mighty river in me
At the end of the day with the setting of the sun
After all is said and done
What else can I do but worship
What else can I do but bow
'Cause all I really long for is You
And all I really yearn for is You
Your sovereignty is a sure foundation for me
Your care for me is enduring peace in me
Your hope in me brings a sweet surrender to me
What else can I do praise You
Joining in the sound of heaven's song?
'Cause all we really long for is You
And all we really yearn for is You
Naturally I looked up my favourite cover of the song:
It has been awhile since I stopped by the blog of the doctor whom this song was dedicated to: http://adoctorsjourneywithcancer.net/HealthUpdate.aspx
Praise God that indeed, it is not death to die! He has called this godly man home to Him.
For in Him, we have "This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast" (Hebrews 6:19 NASB).
"You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you."
(Isaiah 26:3 ESV)
