ramblings

a little boy waved at me yesterday!!!
i was at slc cafe cramming for zoology (after my health social psych exam) and got distracted whenever i saw kids =) this kid's dad didn't seem to care what his son was looking at or doing, he was just holding his hand and walking around.
when they passed by, i guess the little boy saw me looking at him and he waved! =D

i can't believe i'm actually going to start ECE in a few weeks =) at sharing night, when jocelyn talked about little children and how they're amazing, i was thinking "yeah!!" and feeling sort of envious of her opportunities to be with them. then i suddenly remembered that oohhh, i am going to be in ECE!!!

Praise God for His many blessings, the little things, the big things, the good, the seemingly bad...

This line from Laura Story's Blessings is so true...
"What if my greatest disappointments, Or the aching of this life, Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy."
only He can!
and the truth is that He first loved us.

"In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." 1 John 4:10-11

May God's love grip our hearts!
The mystery of the gospel has been revealed to us. He chose to shine His light into our hearts, us who had our eyes veiled and were walking in darkness, to give us "the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ" (2 Cor. 4:6), allowing us to know the power of the Cross, learning that we were made to worship our Lord our God, our Creator and Redeemer, to wait upon Him as He leads us home...

I was reading a sermon by John Piper, and I love how he brought in the verses from Ephesians 3, on being rooted and grounded in Christ's love.

May this is my prayer:

For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant us to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in our inner being, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith—that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that we may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
